Hi! I’m Dani. I grew up on a dairy farm wearing wellies. Fast forward to 2014, while working a corporate job, I couldn’t find comfy, stylish, all-weather boots. That inspired me to create Merry People. I hope our boots bring comfort and a little extra joy to your everyday adventures!

In collaboration with the much-loved Melbourne fashion label Obus, the Merry People x Obus Fergie Tall Boot features the original Obus 'Golden Hour' print in the 'Dawn' colour palette and is designed to help you weather any storm.
With a long, lean silhouette and a chunkier heel, Fergie is a fashionable take on the traditional knee-high gumboot.
100% waterproof, with in-built arch support and warm neoprene lining, the Fergie Tall Boot is designed, made and tested to perform. Having already gone through the paces through rigorous independent laboratory testing we know Fergie is built to take you to higher heights!

We offer free standard shipping and returns within the UK for all orders over £30.
We ship from our warehouse in Basildon, Essex with delivery from Monday to Friday.
Royal Mail Standard - 48 hour tracked: 2 - 4 Business days
Royal Mail Next Day - 24 hour tracked: £4.95 | 1 - 2 Business days
Next day deliveries are not delivered over the weekend - if your order is placed with next day delivery before 3pm on Friday, it will be delivered on the Monday. Orders placed after 3pm on a Friday or on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on Tuesday.
Same day dispatch: If you place your order before 3pm on a weekday it’ll be on it's way to you the same day.

We want you, or the gift receiver, to be in love with this purchase. If the size or colour isn't quite right or if they need to be returned for another reason, please let us know and we can offer you an exchange or a full refund.
We have extended the returns window from our usual 30 days. Orders placed from the start of November to 24th December 2024 will be eligible for an extended returns period of 90 days.
We will cover the cost of you returning the boots to us if you're in the United Kingdom.

Got my boots and put them straight to the test! Of course, after walking around the house to really decide if they fit my feet right. Definitely fit better with a thick sock to better hold my foot in place and add a bit of extra cushion. I have pretty sensitive feet as well as bunions so certain footwear can hit my nerves and cause immediate discomfort. Hiked a good distance and didn’t have any major discomfort. For brand new footwear my feet lasted longer than i expected. Can’t wait to continue to wear them around our property for the upcoming seasons

Overall a well made boot, but too baggy around ankle and calf for me. Quite noticeable on walking around the house, boot lifted up a lot as too much material /space for calves. Great they have a buckle at top back to create a closer fit, except the back of your leg is left with a lot of bulky space /material, which then means they are too big.
I tried them with and without the insoles, plus thick and thin socks but nothing felt right to me, a shame as lovely boots otherwise. I’m an 8 UK and ordered the 8 UK which is a little tight around toes, it seems to think it’s 41 EU when I always thought that was a 7UK. Well see what you think! Shame I can’t go for a proper walk in them to try them out fully, but need to return them.

We're sorry to hear they didn't work out as expected for your calf and ankle shape. Our boots are designed with a roomy fit to accommodate a range of calf sizes, but we understand this can lead to excess material for those with slimmer calves. We appreciate you trying different sock thicknesses and removing the insoles to find the best fit.
While the buckle at the back is intended to help adjust the calf circumference, we understand it may not provide a perfect solution for everyone. Footwear fit is highly personal, and we recognize that our boots may not suit every foot shape and preference. We aim to provide accurate size guidance, but individual feet can vary. We're sorry we couldn't provide the perfect fit this time, but we hope you'll consider giving us another try in the future.
