Hi! I’m Dani. I grew up on a farm wearing wellies. Fast forward to 2014, while working a corporate job, I couldn’t find comfy, stylish, all-weather boots. That inspired me to create Merry People. I hope our boots bring comfort and a little extra joy to your everyday adventures!

The Lochie Sandal blends style and functionality to create the ultimate summer companion.

Designed for versatility, comfort, and outdoor adventures, Lochie offers the same waterproof, comfortable, and practical design that Merry People is known for. Featuring waterproof rubber, straps cushioned with neoprene, three points of adjustment for the perfect fit, a slip-resistant outsole, and comfortable arch support.

Crafted with sustainable materials like FSC-certified natural rubber, recycled PET textiles, and a sugarcane EVA footbed, our first-ever sandal is designed to tread softly on the earth.

We offer free standard shipping and returns within the UK for all orders over £30.

We ship from our warehouse in Basildon, Essex with delivery from Monday to Friday.

Royal Mail Standard - 48 hour tracked: 2 - 4 Business days

Royal Mail Next Day - 24 hour tracked: £4.95 | 1 - 2 Business days

Next day deliveries are not delivered over the weekend - if your order is placed with next day delivery before 3pm on Friday, it will be delivered on the Monday. Orders placed after 3pm on a Friday or on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on Tuesday.

Same day dispatch: If you place your order before 3pm on a weekday it’ll be on it's way to you the same day.

We want you to be in love with your new purchase. If the size isn't quite right or if you’re not happy (for whatever reason), please let us know and we can offer you an exchange or full refund within 30 days of purchase.

We will cover the cost of you returning the boots to us if you're in the United Kingdom.

Womens and Mens Sizing Recommendations

True to size: Order your standard size. If you wear thick socks, measure with them on.
Inner sole should be roughly the same length as your foot.
Expect a snug fit at first - the rubber and neoprene lining soften with wear.
Insole is removable, freeing up about half a size for orthotics or a custom footbed.

I could live in these all year if I could!
My favourite sandals HANDS DOWN! I ummed and ahh’d my first pair, the bright olive (green) for far too long and I regret not getting them sooner. They are perfect for the hot Queensland weather in Australia, they’re SO comfortable and I love how my feet can breathe in them. The following summer, I got myself the mixed berry and I have had so many compliments. I could wear them all day every day! My feet don’t get tired and they are true to size. I really hope MP don’t retire the style! Next on my shopping list are the evergreens!

Best sandals I've ever worn!
I wore these sandals walking 2km in the city in pouring rain and not only did I not slip at all, but despite them being only worn twice before, I didn't get any rubbing, chafing or blisters from them. They are so so comfy and are suitable for my wider feet too. Can't wait to wear them all winter with my socks hehe

Nice colour
I have a lot of compliments about my sandals. Initially the sandals feels comfortable. The right side sandal feels lumpier than the other one. It took me awhile to get used to it.
