I live in Forks, WA where we can get as much as 160" (406 cm) of rainfall in a year. Hence, it can be very, very wet and it is not hard to find some pretty deep puddles and our yards and driveways can become lakes.
Having a good, waterproof boot around here is important and I had been looking for something that was multipurpose and also look good with my skirts for going out and about. These are perfect. I even made it a point to go splash around in a large puddle to test their ability to keep my feet dry and they did indeed stay dry. I hope to get a couple more pairs in the future.

I took these boots to wear for a Finland adventure. Brand new and only tried on beforehand. We hit Finland during a big thaw, slush and water everywhere with overnight freezing. I walked for miles in my boots. They were absolutely waterproof and warm too. They provided adequate grip on ice too. These were the only footwear I took so wore them on the plane too! Absolutely fabulous all round.
