Continue shoppingMost customers find our Oberons are true to size; however, we always recommend checking the size guide to be safe, as sizing can vary slightly across different styles. We suggest comparing your foot length to the insole measurement and allowing around 0.5–1cm of extra space for the best fit.
Our Oberons are made to a wider D-width compared to our other B-width styles, offering a more generous fit overall.
Because they’re crafted with natural materials, they will soften and relax with wear. If they feel a little snug at first, we recommend removing the inner sole for the first few days to allow a bit of extra room. After a few wears, you may find the rubber has relaxed enough to comfortably pop the inner sole back in.
If you prefer to keep the inner sole out, the Oberons are designed with built-in arch support and cushioning in the main sole to help maintain comfort. To check whether the width will suit you, we recommend reviewing the size chart, where you’ll find the full insole width measurements.
If the fit still doesn’t feel right, you’re welcome to return them for an exchange or full refund.
Oberon is the widest of our ankle styles and features dual-layer heel and toe reinforcements. In size UK 6, Oberon weighs approximately 660 grams per boot.
Weight can vary slightly across our ankle styles, depending on the sole design and overall construction. For weight information on other styles, please refer to the Size and Fit article in each product hub.
All Merry People boots and clogs feature removable insoles, making it a breeze to add your orthotics or special inserts. Our top tip? Ensure the orthotic's length matches the Merry People innersole for a snug fit.
It can be tricky with footwear that has no means to adjust the fit (no laces, etc). If you usually wear a half-size and are trying to decide between sizing up or down, we recommend comparing the length of your foot to the insole measurements in the size chart. The right size for you is when the insole is 0.5–1cm longer than your foot.
It's okay if the boots feel slightly snug to start, as they are made of natural rubber, which will soften and mould to your foot with wear.
However, they won't get any longer, so you don't want to size down if that means you won't have enough space in the toe. In the event that you have the length for comfort, but now find excessive space is causing your heel to move, the best recommendation is to alter the removable innersole to a thicker option.
At this stage, we don’t offer innersole variations for fit, but this is an adaptation our product team is working on.
No problem! We offer free returns and exchanges for all UK customers, so you can easily swap sizes if the fit isn’t right.
Alternatively, you can order multiple sizes to compare at home, then return the pair that doesn’t fit for a full refund.
