Lulu's recent work, Herne Hill, a large family garden inspired by the drought tolerant and naturalistic landscapes of California.
I started in the fashion industry, but in 2018 retrained as a garden designer; I like to think my background in fashion informs my work now. My primary goal is to create interactive spaces that invite my clients to engage with the natural world and witness the ever-changing seasons. I like to bridge the gap between urban living and nature!
Merriness! For us, it's dancing in the rain and splashing carefree in puddles. What does it mean to you?
For me, it’s laughing with friends and family!
Slowing down and switching off. What peaceful routines bring you joy?
It has to be pottering in the garden.
Lulu's Black Bobbi Boots are at home on her back porch, ready to reach for when she heads out for a meeting, on a walk, or just for a potter in the garden!
What's your style motto?
Generally, comfort wins for me! But, I can do a dressed-up version or low-key. My Bobbi Boots are great as I spend lots of time dog walking, in the garden, and on-site visits – so they feel smart enough and also functional.
What's coming up for you this year?
A range of different projects! Including, my first large country estate and also a huge roof terrace for a computer games company.
And finally, when you’re not in the garden, tell us three spots you love to explore in your area!
First up is Epping Forest, then Walthamstow Marshes… and the canal in Tottenham!
Quick fire...
What do you love about your Bobbi Boots?
The neoprene sock!
Who would you take with you on a merry adventure?
My dog, Bob.
What are your favourite colours to pair with your Bobbi Boots?
Black, neutrals and denim!
