Grapefruit Red Ankle Wellington Boot

Sassy as! Loving my new boots. They look sensational and everybody compliments me when I wear them. Not only do they look good, they fit perfectly to size and allow me to splash about in puddles with child-like abandon. A pot of gold at the end of these rainbow boots was to find how squishy and comfy the soles are. It’s like walking on air. I can imagine they will stay comfy and in shape for kilometres to come. Than you Merry People, may you live long and prosper.

I love that I can dress them up or down. I’ve worn them around the yard doing odd jobs and I’ve worn them into town to go shopping. I wore them to Agfest on Friday, shopping in Launceston yesterday morning and then hiked to the summit of Ben Lomond yesterday afternoon. My feet stayed dry, I didn’t slip as much as I usually do and they are more comfortable than my regular hiking boots. Agfest was quite a good test, it was dirty, dusty and a little bit muddy but my socks stayed clean and I didn’t have the embarrassment of my boots splitting like another ladies gum boots did. I was on my feet constantly walking from 9.30am-3pm without any issues at all.

Love this boot; the colours are divine, the chunky style is perfectly retro, and they fit like a glove and are instantly comfortable. Perfect for walking a couple of Aussie kelpies in any weather. (About my 10th pair of Merrys, and first Tullys. Won’t be the last. One tip: had to try a couple of sizes to get the size right the first time I bought my first pomegranate Bobbi boots a few years ago!

I understand that everyone has different foot shape, and so as to not squeeze my forefoot, I have to purchase a EU43 which the length is a little bit longer than expected (there is almost 2 fingers gap at the heel).

I guess the first experience wearing it swings between comfortable and discomfort. Because the natural rubber hasn't soften yet and when I walk the stiff rubber just kind of applying pressure to the front of my calf. (But the neoprene lining did a very good job protecting my skin from being scratched)
